One of the best features of iCloud is its ability to keep your calendar events and reminders in the cloud and let you share your calendars with family, friends, and colleagues. Tom Negrino walks you through how to work with calendars and reminders in iCloud.
Jun 05, 2019 I understand Reminders aren't showing within Google Calendar as expected on your iOS device. The 'Troubleshoot problems' section of the following Google article provides helpful suggestions, including steps to make the Reminders calendar visible: Add reminders in Google Calendar - iPhone & iPad - Calendar Help. Let me know how it goes from here. Nov 05, 2019 On iOS, the Reminders app now has a smart toolbar, but on Mac, you’ll see something similar with the new edit buttons. These tools allow you to quickly add common items to your reminders. Date: Select an easy option like today, tomorrow, or next weekend for the due date.

One of the best—and incredibly useful—features of iCloud is its ability to keep your calendar events and reminders in the cloud, automatically synchronizing them among all your devices. Imagine you’ve just finished an appointment at the dentist, and the receptionist asks to set up your next date. Whipping out your iPhone, you enter the next appointment into the Calendar app, and in a moment, that appointment appears on the rest of your devices.
Similarly, iCloud can create synchronized reminders for things you need to do. With the iOS 5 Reminders app, you can even set a reminder to appear only when you arrive at a particular geographical location.
But probably the most useful feature of iCloud calendaring is that you can share your calendars with family, friends, and colleagues. So when your daughter adds her soccer practice to the family shared calendar, it appears on the rest of the family’s schedule as well.
Setting up Calendars
You begin with calendars in iCloud by creating them, either in iCal or in the iOS Calendar app. You can also create calendars on the iCloud website , which I’ll discuss later in this chapter. Mac github issues app.
There’s one important concept to get when you start managing your schedule and to-dos with iCloud. There are two kinds of items that iCloud deals with:

In this book, I’m focusing on iCloud, rather than working with iCal or the iOS Calendar app, so I’ll deal mostly with working with events on the iCloud website, rather than in the Mac or iOS programs. However, because Reminders are so intimately connected with iCloud, I’ll be going into detail with the iOS Reminders app in the “Working with Reminders on Your iOS Device” section, later in this chapter.

Just like Calendar, Reminders is one of those apps iPhone users often use to organize their busy lives. If a quick sticky note to your wall isn’t enough, the Reminders app can help.
Now, if you’re an Apple Watch user, the Reminders app just got a whole lot better. With it, you can quickly create a reminder for your upcoming task and browse through your events. All can be done from your wrist.
It would be a headache if the Reminders app stopped working on your Apple Watch, right? How about if the app stopped syncing between your devices? For example, you created some reminders on your iPhone, but it won’t load on your Apple Watch.
I’m here to let you know that issues like these can be resolved in no time. Below are a few tricks you can try to make the Reminders app on your Apple Watch sync again. This way, you can always get the most updated reminders.
CHECK FOR PROPER CONNECTION
When the same app is showing a different set of details, I often check to see if my Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are enabled. You may also want to make sure that your Wi-Fi network is working properly.
If there is no connection between your Apple Watch and iPhone, the Control Center on your watch will show a red text that says, “Disconnected.”
As always, if you accidentally turned these features off, you can always turn them back on from the Control Center or the Settings app.
RESET SYNC DATA
When there is a syncing problem on my Apple Watch, I always find it useful to hit the Reset Sync Data. Do note that this feature will not remove any of your data. As the name suggested, it will only reset the connection. If any of your apps aren’t fully synced, it will make sure everything is loaded on both devices.

To perform a Reset Sync Data for your Apple Watch:
You will only see a quick flash, and that’s it. Before taking any further actions, it’s important to wait a few minutes for your iPhone and Apple Watch to get everything properly synced.
Open the Reminders app to see if all your reminders and tasks are there. I suggest checking it on the problematic device.
UNPAIR YOUR APPLE WATCH
Some people like to use Siri to create reminders on their Apple Watch. I don’t know why, but the issue here is that the events they created no longer show up on their iPhone.
If that’s the case for you, try unpairing. This method works for me. When you unpair your Apple Watch and iPhone, the system automatically creates a backup for you. If you have any valuable data, then you can restore it from the backup once you pair the device back.
After that, check to see if the reminders you created on your watch show up on your iPhone.
If none of the methods above work for you, feel free to try some general tips such as restarting your device or reset and erase all contents.
CONFIGURING THE REMINDERS APP
When it is time to configure the Reminders app on your iPhone, there are a few easy steps you will want to follow: https://npclever504.weebly.com/blog/open-iphone-apps-on-mac.
After doing this, you can then address your reminders when you receive the notifications. You can also choose to snooze, complete, or dismiss any notifications you receive.
ADDING REMINDERS TO SPECIFIC LISTS
You can set up different lists in Reminders to keep track of more specific information. You can tell Siri to set a reminder to that specific list. For example, you can ask Siri to remind you to add apples to your Sunday Grocery List.
YOUR REMINDER NOTIFICATIONS
Your watch is set to alert you when there is a reminder. All you have to do is tap the watch on your wrist to snooze the notification, mark it as complete, or dismiss it. Now the changes you make to your reminders will sync across all of your iOS devices automatically.
Mac Reminder AppFORCE TOUCH GESTURE
Your Reminders app also goes with the Force Touch gesture. When you are in the Reminders app, you can firmly press on the display to reveal a button that can show you or hide all of the completed reminders you have had.
